Camera Roles
You can assign specific roles to your cameras to optimize how they function in your fleet.
Available Roles
Dash Camera
This role disables the camera's infrared lights, which reduces glare from the windshield when mounted as a dash camera facing the windshield.
Stop Arm Camera
This role adjusts the camera's settings when the stop arm is deployed, to better capture stop arm violations and surrounding activity.
How To Assign Roles
Click on the Cameras tile under Device Health:
Click the checkbox on the left hand side of the camera you would like to assign a role to:
Click the "Camera Type" drop down menu in RH panel and select the desired role. A green checkmark will appear confirming your change:
