The data import tile on the dashboard shows the most recent file uploads. Files are either manually uploaded to the dashboard, sent over HTTP or SFTP connection, or sent from routing software. If your system is set up to receive nightly imports from your SIS or routing software, this page will indicate whether an import succeeded.
To see the details of an import’s success or failure, click the row to show and expanded view in a pop up on the right.
Please note: If your district uses an API then you won't manually add or change anything on the dashboard. If you’re not sure, check with your director of transportation or IT department.

Uploading Data
- Click the blue plus (+) in the upper right-hand corner.
- Select “Full Import” or “Update”, depending on your needs.
- An update adds new or modifies existing rows. Items that are not present in the uploaded file are maintained.
- A full import will remove any rows from the system that are not in the uploaded file.
- Select a file type from the drop-down menu.
- Attach the file.
- Click “Upload”.
Alerts for Failed Imports
Below are examples of error messages, reasons for the error, and solutions.
- Failed to assign bus xxxx to route yyyy
- Couldn't find the previously imported route or bus.
- It could be from a previous failed import, or because that data was not included in the corresponding data. Double check previously imported files.
- Failed to associate stop xxxx to route yyyy. Make sure that both the ID for the stop, and route are the same across files
- Couldn't find a previously imported route or stop.
- It could be from a previous failed import, or because that data was not included in the corresponding data. Double check previously imported files.
- Failed to assign student xxxx to stop yyyy of route zzzz. Ensure that students, stops, and route ids are consistent across files
- Couldn't find a previously imported route, stop or student.
- It could be from a previous failed import, or because that data was not included in the corresponding data. Double check previously imported files.
- Failed to get the travel time from start for the stop xxxx in the route yyyy.
- It is likely the route has not been imported, or the route ID is inconsistent between files.
- Couldn't find the previously imported route, stop; or if stop data didn't have 'travel time from start', or 'time at stop' or similar data.
- The xxxx field is required
- Missing mandatory field.
- Make sure the field includes information.
- Duplicated entry for route xxxx, stop yyyy, student zzzz
- There is duplicated student ID ridership data.
- Make sure all IDs are unique.
- Wrong deltatime format of percentages
- It should be in 00:00 format.
- When the format of the "travel time from start" info for a stop is wrong.
