Fixing Common Issues With Turn by Turn Directions

Fixing Common Issues With Turn by Turn Directions

Many drivers appreciate having accurate turn by turn directions on the copilot, especially substitute drivers. That makes it all the more important to resolve any issues with the directions should they occur. Here is a list of common issues and their fixes.

No "turn right/left" after a stop in the intersection

Cause: When a stop is in the middle of an intersection, the routing software believes that it is in the middle of both intersecting streets. When the bus leaves the stop the routing software believes it is already on the target street, so it does not indicate any turn.
Solution: Move the stop out of the intersection and to a little before it. That way the routing software will recognize the need to turn after leaving the stop.
