Using the Blur Video Feature
The blur video feature is available during playback of video that you have previously offloaded. Its intended use is to selectively blur faces in a video that you are screening for others. For that reason, the blur feature is not available elsewhere (live video, recent review), nor is the blur effect added to video or still frames that you download from offload.
To use this feature:
- If you haven't already, offload the desired video.
- In the dashboard, open the Offload Video page in the Audio/Video section. In the list of offloaded video that appears, find the desired offloaded video. A video player will open; mouse over it and a number of controls will appear. Click on the three vertical dots that appear in the top right corner of the video player. A context menu will appear; select "edit video effects". The video player will expand, and you will see the instructions "click and drag on the video to create a blur". When you do this, additional blur controls will appear; apply them as desired.
