Preventive Maintenance Guide

Preventive Maintenance Guide

We suggest that you add the following weekly checks to your existing fleet preventive maintenance checklist.

Attendant

  1. Inspect the attendant mounting points. Is the attendant secure to the bulkhead or is it loose? If it is loose, verify that the screws are all present and tight. The attendant needs to be secure to prevent damage.
  2. Inspect the connections from the rooftop antenna and verify that they are still snug.
  3. Inspect the Ethernet cable connections. Look for any loose or broken plugs. If the plug has come loose, reattach it to the appropriate port, confirming that it clicks solidly into place. If the plug will not stay in, please notify Transportant at support@transportant.com.
  4. Inspect the fan for dust and dirt. Excessive dust will cause the fan to malfunction. Use canned air to remove dust. Do not use an air compressor, as this will damage the fan.
  5. On v3 attendants, inspect the rubber ducky antenna. Verify that it is still properly attached and undamaged. v4 attendants do not have rubber ducky antennas.

Copilot

  1. Inspect the copilot pivot screws. Are they present and secure? If a screw or nut are missing, they can be replaced with a 3/16” machine screw that is 3⁄4” long and the appropriate nut.
  2. Clean the copilot display with a microfiber cloth. Do not use bleach wipes or any other chemically impregnated wipe, as this will damage the display.
  3. Inspect the Ethernet plug for proper retention. If the cable will not stay in place, please notify Transportant at support@transportant.com.

Cameras (internal and external)

  1. DO NOT USE a pressure washer on external cameras. This will damage them and void the warranty.
  2. Use a microfiber cloth to clean the camera lens. Do not use bleach wipes or any other chemically impregnated wipes, as they will damage the camera.
  3. Verify that all hex bolts are present and secure. Report any missing bolts to Transportant at support@transportant.com.
