What is audio takeover
The Transportant system lets you take over the speakers on a bus to make announcements. Not all buses have been wired to allow this, and not all buses that have the needed wiring have this feature enabled. For that reason, if you do not see this feature available on a particular bus, write Transportant support at
support@transportant.com to enable it for you.
Create a recording
See the
Recordings article for how to create a recording.
Once created, your new recording will be added to your list of available recordings and is available to be sent to a bus.
Play a recording on a bus
On the
Recordings page, select the recording you want to play.
In the Send To field, select the desired bus from the drop-down menu. Only one bus can be selected at a time.
Click the play button. When you do this, it will play in the bus as long as it has speakers in it.
If you would like to send the recording to another bus, repeat the steps above.

Troubleshooting
Message is not heard on the bus
If the driver informs you that the message is not heard on the bus, contact Transportant support at
support@transportant.com, mentioning the bus and the time you sent the message. It may be that the bus has not been wired for audio takeover, which support staff can check for you.
