Copilot Stuck on Android Recovery Screen

Copilot Stuck on Android Recovery Screen

Symptom

Occasionally you might see a copilot stuck on the Android recovery screen. It looks like this:
Android recovery screen
It might be stuck there forever, or the copilot might frequently return to it.

What to do

The most common reason for its appearance is that one of the buttons on the copilot are stuck in a depressed state. To fix this, first examine the on/off button and the volume buttons, and unstick them if needed.
Next (and do this whether or not you found stuck buttons), use the volume up/down buttons to highlight the option "reboot system now" on the recovery screen. When this option is highlighted, briefly press the power button. That will reboot the copilot.
Those two steps usually brings the copilot back to life. If it returns to the recovery screen, write us at support@transportant.com to let us know and we will replace the copilot. When you do so, please mention the copilot's hostname (a code of the form ATP1234), what bus it was on, and what steps you took to try to resolve the problem.
