Do Not Record (DNR) points, set and adjustable by your school district, are places where you believe video will not need to be recorded when the bus's engine is off. Not recording unneeded video is useful in that it lets the attendant
retain wanted video for longer, thus letting you go further back in time to view older video. Additionally, it reduces the power draw on your buses' batteries.
When a bus's engine is on, do not record points are ignored. Video is always being recorded when a bus's engine is on.
If the bus's engine is shut down while the bus is at a do not record point, video recording is stopped until the engine is turned back on.
