Ethernet Down

Ethernet Down

Explanation

The Ethernet Down alert calls your attention to an attendant that has been losing its connection.

Effect

Connectivity is central to the proper working of the Transportant system, so an attendant with this problem could cause any number of symptoms, perhaps intermittently.

Next Steps

Like many alerts, the Ethernet Down alert comes with a severity rating between 1 and 4.
Severities of 1 or 2 are to call your attention to a potential problem. It would be wise to keep your eye on this attendant but no action is needed at this time.
How severities of 3 or 4 should be handled depends upon which version of attendant is involved. If you don't know which version you have, see Attendant Versions
  1. On a v3 attendant, first handle as you would a Companion Board alert. If that does not work, contact support@transportant.com, mentioning the alert you see and what you have tried, so that a replacement attendant can be sent to you.
  2. On a v4 attendant, contact support@transportant.com, mentioning the alert you see, so that a replacement attendant can be sent to you.

Check Fixes

This alert, like most, is calculated on a rolling average, so even after correcting the problem the alert will remain visible for a few days. However, by clicking through to the detail page as seen above, you can see if you have successfully fixed the problem.
